Are you a graduate with an English degree, looking to gain experience support students through the GCSE English curriculum?
Do you want to work in a ‘Good’ secondary school based in South Birmingham?

*** 1:1 and small group GCSE English support
Working on a 1:1 and small group basis, you will be working with English students, supporting them through the KS3 & KS4 curriculum. Whilst getting to know the students, the first month or so you will be working in the classroom, getting to know the students personalities and behaviours. Once you have built that rapport with them, you will have the opportunity to take them out of the classroom and teach the curriculum your way.
The school is based in the Ward of Northfield and is easily accessible via public transport. Bus routes along the Bristol and Pershore road are ideal. People travelling by car will find the school easy to get too, with available carparking spaces. Your line manager will be the Vice Principal, who is English trained himself. Under his guidance, you will get the knowledge and skills you need to apply for teacher training in the near future.
