Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEN
 
Are you a Psychology graduate with experience supporting children with complex needs?
 
Would you like to work in a primary school, gaining the experience you need before becoming an educational or clinical psychologist?

*** Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN
*** £70 - £80 per day
*** November start until July 2021
*** Primary school located in central Birmingham
*** 1:1 personal care & small group work
 
The role will be to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with ASD, including Aspergers Syndrome and Autism. Some children also struggle with communication, so experience with some form of speech and language support would be ideal.
 
Some pupils work at a slower pace than their peers, even with the appropriate differentiation. Patience is key to be successful for the role.
 
The school is situated in the Ward of Ladywood, just outside Birmingham City centre and the Clean Air Zone. This makes it perfect for someone who drives. It is easily accessible via public transport too via bus.
 
75% of the pupils who attend this fantastic primary school have some form of special educational needs and require support and guidance from a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
 
This role also comes with formal online training which will help support your application for teacher training or educational/clinical psychology.
