The Person
A graduate with an English related degree, strong communicational skills who is very personable, enthusiastic and reliable. Some form of experience working with children is desirable, but not essential. A graduate who wishes to gain experience this academic, prior to starting a teacher training programme in 2022.
The Role
English Teaching Assistant, supporting attainment levels and helping bridge the gap between under-achievers and their peers. Supporting English students on a 1:1 and small group basis, taking them out of the classroom and providing them with focussed support around the English curriculum.
The School
Based in the Ward of Edgbaston, this ‘Good’ secondary school has a high achieving English Department. 71% pass rate for English at GCSE. The Headteacher is a strong believer of supporting his staff and providing them with the best opportunities to add value to the school, the graduate and of course… the children.
