SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a Teaching Assistant looking to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children with additional needs?
The Graduate Network is currently working closely with a busy SEND School in Birmingham to recruit a number of Teaching Assistants to join an experienced team of pastoral staff. Due to an increase in numbers, this school are looking to add friendly, caring and empathetic Teaching Assistants to the team.

*** Schools based in Birmingham
*** Formal training course provided

This role involves working on a small group or 1-2-1 basis with Key Stage 1 & 2 children with additional needs. The school is looking for Teaching Assistants who enjoy breaking down barriers to communication and are able to build relationships with children with additional needs. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential for this role and experience working within a similar setting is desirable.
Job role:

  • Working as a Teaching Assistant on a 1-2-1 basis providing tailored support
  • Making education accessible for children with additional needs
  • Working closely with the class teacher and support staff to make lessons fun and engaging
  • Providing personal care if required
  • Working with Autism and complex needs
