***£350 - £400 per week
***Long-term contract, September start
***Supporting under-achieving pupils in 1:1 and small group intervention groups
For this role you will need a psychology related degree, an ability to lead small groups of children and the natural ability to create and maintain healthy working relationships with staff and pupils. You will need to have the confidence to lead these groups and to spread your message across to the children. The ideal candidate must be looking to progress their career in education.
In this Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant role, you will be taking charge of 1:1 and small group interventions, these could be in class or out of class. You will need to make sure that your groups tailor to each of the children’s individual learning needs and keep the pupils engaged in their learning. These groups are key to the children’s development as they will provide close support for the under-achieving pupils. Some of these children may struggle to interact in a classroom environment and would benefit massively from the intervention groups.
This North Birmingham school is located in the ward of Erdington and is easily accessible by public transport. The staffs work ethic at the school is to create a fun and exciting place to learn, where pupils are engaged in their work.
