For this KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant you will need a degree, an understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the passion to pursue a career in education. The ideal candidate must be confident leading groups of KS1 pupils and look to develop their key skills. Being able to create and maintain strong working relationships with staff and the children is key as you will be working closely with them daily.
In this role you will be supporting KS1 pupils in 1:1 and small group interventions. These groups are key to the children’s learning as the children may struggle to participate in class and benefit more from the smaller group activities. You must be able to create fun and exciting groups to engage the children in their learning. You will be working closely with the class teacher to work of their lesson plan to create these groups.
