For this role you will need a degree, an understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the passion to support KS1 pupils. You must be a confident speaker as you will be leading small groups of children and it’s important to pass your message to them clearly. The ideal candidate must be looking to progress their career in education further.
In this role you will be supporting KS1 pupils in 1:1 and small group interventions ensuring all pupils are engaged in their learning by creating fun and exciting groups. These interventions are key to the children’s learning as some of these pupils with have SEN needs and will benefit greatly from these small groups. You will be working of the lesson plans the teacher will provide adapting that to meet each of the children’s individual learning needs.
