For this Science Teacher role, you will need be an ECT or a qualified teacher with experience working in a secondary school, you must be able to create and deliver high standard lessons to the KS3 & KS4 students ensuring that each students individual needs are met. You must have a passion for science and teaching as you will be leading classes of close to 30 students.
This Science Teacher role will see you working closely with the Head of Science to ensure lesson plans are up to standard and the quality of teaching is excellent. You will have access to the excellent facilities that the school’s science department provides to ensure lessons are as engaging as possible. During your time in this role, you will be supported by a classroom T.A that can provide 1:1 and small group intervention support to the underachieving science students or students that may have SEN needs. Being able to tailor your lessons to suit the students’ individual needs is important as this will be key to their development through the years.
This ‘Good’ Rated school based in North Birmingham has a very dedicated staffing team that all have the same work ethic to provide constant support for the pupils and to maintain a high level of teaching. The science department is brilliant and has been well funded and looked after, this has been the cause of previous student’s great results. The school is easily accessible by public transport due to the number of bus routes nearby and has a secure car park for staff.
