SEND Class Teacher – Special School
Are you a passionate SEND Teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day? This outstanding special school in Atherstone is seeking an enthusiastic QTS SEND Class Teacher to join its team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a class of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), communication needs and associated learning needs. With small class sizes, excellent staffing levels and outstanding specialist resources, you will have the time and support to deliver truly personalised learning.

The Role:
  • Teaching a small class of pupils with special educational needs
  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and communication needs
  • Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
  • Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social development
  • Building strong relationships with families and external agencies
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary or secondary-aged pupils
  • A passion for inclusive education and supporting children with SEND
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • The ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience within a SEND setting is desirable but not essential
