Teaching Assistant – Special School – Birmingham
This excellent specialist school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs in a structured, nurturing and well-supported environment.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality classroom and individual support, helping pupils to access learning, develop independence and build confidence. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Classroom Support qualification is essential for this role.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs within the classroom
• Providing 1-2-1 and small group support
• Assisting with the delivery of differentiated learning activities
• Supporting pupils’ communication, social and emotional development
• Helping to manage behaviour using consistent and positive strategies
• Working collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Classroom Support qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working in a SEND or specialist setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
