SEND Teacher – Primary – East BirminghamA warm and welcoming special school in East Birmingham is looking for a committed SEND Teacher to teach small classes of primary aged pupils with special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a SEND Teacher who enjoys working in a nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, MLD, and additional learning needs. Classes are small, allowing you to build strong relationships with pupils and focus on individual progress. You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a leadership team that values teamwork and staff wellbeing.
Job role:- Teaching a small class of primary aged pupils with special educational needs
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants to provide consistent support
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals
