QTS Maths Teacher - SEMH School
This highly supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in South Birmingham, is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher to join their dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher who is motivated by helping students overcome barriers to learning. You will be teaching small classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on engagement, differentiation, and building confidence in numeracy.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that are accessible, engaging, and tailored to individual learning needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
• Support students in developing both academic skills and emotional resilience.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff to provide consistent support and care.
• Track, assess, and celebrate student progress through regular feedback and reports.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
• Previous experience within an SEMH or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable teaching approach.
