Job Description
Experienced SEMH Teacher or Middle Leader
Are you an experienced SEMH Teacher looking or a new challenge? This excellent alternative provision is looking to add an experienced teacher or middle leader to the team to provide support and training for teaching staff and deliver lessons that stretch and engage students. This role requires a teacher who has extensive experience teaching within SEMH or special schools and who has previously delivered training to teaching staff.

The school benefits from good facilities and excellent leadership, however due to an increase in student numbers require an experienced teacher or middle leaders to have an instant impact. Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential. This teaching role requires either previous experience running a team or an experienced teacher who aspires to be part of a middle leadership team.
Job Role:
  • Teaching a small timetable of lessons
  • Mentoring teachers and teaching assistants
  • Observing lessons and providing feedback to the SLT and teaching staff
  • Identifying gaps in the curriculum and teaching
  • Leading by example and acting as a positive role model
  • Providing feedback to the SLT on a regular basis
  • Ensuring that the needs of student are catered for appropriately
  • Managing behaviours effectively and supporting staff with behaviour management
