Teaching Assistant required to support small classes of children with complex learning needs. Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with Autism, Complex Learning Needs or MLD? We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team at an outstanding SEN School in Birmingham.

As a Teaching Assistant at this vibrant SEN school, you will be supporting primary aged children on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. All children at this school, have a range of complex learning needs, and many require 1-2-1 support. Leadership are supportive and you will be working closely with a team of supportive Teaching Assistants. A calm, caring and compassionate approach is essential for this role, and you must have experience working with special needs. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

  • Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of Ks1 & Ks2 children with Special Educational Needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Making school a safe, nurturing and warm environment for pupils
