Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with SEMH needs? Do you enjoy working with Key Stage 1 & 2 children who have struggled to engage with education? This large SEMH Primary School is looking to add an exceptional Teaching Assistant to the team for a long term opportunity. Experience working with challenging behaviours and SEMH needs is essential for this role.

As a Teaching Assistant at this SEMH school you will be providing 1-2-1 classroom support, and will be part of an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who are brilliant at what they do. You will be supporting an experienced class teacher, manging classroom behaviour and providing academic support where required. The school has a welcoming, team focused atmosphere and every day is a new challenge. Ideally you will hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, experience woring with SEMH or challenging behaviours is essential.
Role:

  • Providing 1-2-1 support for a primary aged child with SEMH needs
  • Acting as a positive role model
  • Possessing a good understanding of SEMH needs and SEND
  • Making school a safe, nurturing and engaging place to be
  • Effectively managing behaviours
