Science Teacher required to teach small classes of Key Stage 3 & 4 students at a Birmingham SEMH school. Are you a qualified Science Teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy teaching students who have faced barriers to education, and inspiring a love for science? This vibrant SEMH school is looking to add a qualified Science Teacher to the team, who has a passion for teaching, good subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills. You will be joining a small team of teaching staff, who  enjoy the challenge of breaking down academic and social barriers for students.

As a Science Teacher you will be supported by an experienced Science Technician, an outstanding leadership team, and a plethora of teaching assistants and behaviour mentors, which allows you to focus on delivering outstand lessons. This SEMH has fantastic lab facilities and you will be given the freedom to deliver, engaging and exciting practical lessons, with the support of an experienced Science Technician. This role requires a Qualified Science Teacher who us happy to teach Biology, chemistry and Physics up to GCSE.
 
Job Role:

  • Teaching Science to small classes of children with SEMH needs
  • Delivering practical sessions in line with H&S guidelines
  • Working with a small team of Teachers to plan lessons
  • Inspiring a love for Science, making lessons engaging and informative
  • Raising attainment and maintaining outstanding teaching practices
