SEN Teaching Assistant required to work in small classes of Key Stage 2 children with complex learning needs. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with Autism, Physical Disabilities, Global Delay or any Moderate to Severe learning needs. The school require a Teaching Assistant who is kind, caring and compassionate, to work on a 1-2-1 and whole class basis, supporting the teacher and children. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the needs of the children, managing behaviours and helping each child to get the most out of each day. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will greet every day with a smile, and understand the needs of the children that they support. You will be joining an experienced team of teaching and support staff who are responsible for making this school a truly special place. This role requires a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with SEN experience.
- Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS2 children with additional needs
- Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs, primarily Autism
- Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
- Providing a nurturing and caring environment for pupils
- Delivering focused intervention sessions for children who require additional support
