Art Teacher required to join a industry leading Alternative Provision in Solihull. Are you a Qualified Art Teacher who has experience teaching children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours? This dynamic and progressive Alternative Provision are looking to add a Qualified Art Teacher to a small team of experienced teaching staff. We are looking for an Art Teacher who has a passion for breaking down barriers to education and communication, and is able to teach Art up to GCSE, and deliver fun and creative workshops for students who have struggled to engage in mainstream education. The school has fantastic facilities and a supportive SLT who are committed to making a difference.
As an Art Teacher at this school you will be teaching small classes of Key Stage 3 & 4 students, following the GCSE Art curriculum. Students at this school have a range of SEMH needs and many of these students have an EHCP and a dedicated 1-2-1 mentor. Art and other creative subjects are an important part of the curriculum for this school as they understand that every child is different. As an Art Teacher you will have access to a range of resources , and have creative freedom to deliver outstanding lessons. This role requires a QTS or QTLS Art Teacher and, experience working withing an SEMH school or Alternative Provision is desirable.
- Teaching across the ART curriculum to Key Stages 3 & 4
- Leading Art booster sessions for students that require additional support
- Working with an excellent pastoral / leadership team to improve engagement
