Teaching Assistant /  Behaviour Mentor required to support on a 1-2-1 basis in a dynamic and progressive SEMH school. Are you a Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor with good classroom management skills, and excellent communication skills? Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to education? This SEMH school is looking to add a Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to the team to work on a 1-2-1 basis with Key Stage 4 students that no longer attend mainstream education.

As a Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor you will be providing classroom support and helping the student to engage with lessons. The ability to manage behaviours and effectively build rapport is essential for this role. The school have a great leadership team and committed teaching and learning  staff, who are passionate about making a difference. Experience as a Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant is essential for this role, and ideally you will have experience working with SEMH needs.
Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS4 students with SEMH needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of behaviour management techniques
  • Working as a Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for students
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
