Are you a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working with children in Key Stages 1 & 2 with additional needs? We are looking for a proactive, and positive Teaching Assistant to join the team at this brilliant Special Educational Needs school in Birmingham. The school require a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant who has worked with complex learning needs and Autism. The school has a large and supportive team of Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to making a difference and making school a great place to be for the pupils.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing a mix of 1-2-1 and small group support for children with a range of additional needs. A positive approach, abundance of resilience and the ability to approach every day with a smile is essential. The school is a kind and caring environments, with many of the children having a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to support their daily needs. Teaching staff are excellent and work closely with support staff to ensure that the needs of children are met. The school has fantastic facilities and you can see why they are Ofsted “outstanding”. Experience working with Special Educational Needs is essential and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
- Supporting children with additional learning needs
- Having a good understanding of a range of SEN policies and procedures
- Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
- Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
