Job Details

Health and Social Care Teacher required for a large Birmingham Secondary School. Are you an experienced Health and Social Care Teacher looking for a new and exciting opportunity within secondary education? Do you have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to ignite a true interest in all things Health and Social Care? This vibrant secondary school is looking to add a driven and ambitious Health & Social Care Teacher to the team. A passion for your subject and a desire to help this small department become “outstanding” is essential for this role.

AS a Health and Social Care Teacher you will be teaching a small cohort of approximately 250 students, and will be supported by a small, yet productive department. The SLT are committed to supporting every department, and you will be given the support that you need in order to deliver engaging and informative lessons. This role requires a qualified Health and Social Care Teacher who is looking for a role where they can really make a difference.
Job Role:

  • Delivering Health & Social Studies across Key Stage 4
  • Planning and modifying the curriculum to meet student needs and abilities
  • Taking part in whole school CPD and training
  • Effectively managing classroom behaviours in like with school behaviour policy
  • Differentiating lessons and stretching high achieving students
