English Teacher required to join a busy Alternative Provision in Solihull. Are you a qualified English Teacher looking to join an outstanding team of teaching and support staff? This award winning alternative provision are looking to add an outstanding English Teacher to their small English Department, who has a passion for helping students overcome barriers to education. We are looking for an English Teacher who is able to inspire an interest in English Language and English Literature, and help students achieve the best GCSE results that they possibly can. The school have a small team of teaching staff, and a dedicated team of pastoral/support staff who are determined to make a difference.
As an English Teacher you will be teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 English up to GCSE. You will also hold full planning and marking responsibilities, for classes of no more than 15 students. The students have a range of SEMH needs and many have an EHCP, Teaching Assistants are well trained to support you in managing the classroom, allowing you to focus on deliver engaging and informative English lessons. This role requires an English Teacher who understands the challenges that these young people face and has a real desire to make a difference. To be considered for this role you must be a QTS or QTLS English Teacher, and ideally have experience teaching children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours. Leadership is brilliant and the headteacher is invested in making a difference.
