Sciecne Teacher required to join a dynamic and forward thinking Birmingham Secondary School. Are you a QTS Science Teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you want to join an established and driven Science Department? This large secondary school are looking to add an ambitious Sciecne Teacher with a love for their subject to the team. A keen interest in Science and a love for teaching is essential for this role. The school have state of the art lab facilities and an experienced HOD who is committed to supporting their staff.

As a Science Teacher you will be teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE, and will hold full planning and marking responsibilities. You will have the support of an experienced Sciecne Technician, who will set up and assist all practical experiments. Good behaviour management skills are required, however there is a general interest in science from the majority of students. The Head of Sciecne works closely with the Science Teachers to ensure that lessons are outstanding, and that all staff receive andy additional support and training that they require. A good knowledge of the KS3 & KS4 Sciecne curriculum is essential for this role. This role is suitable for a QTS or ECT Science Teacher.
Job Role:

  • Teaching across the Biology, Chemistry and Physics curriculums
  • Delivering practical sessions in line with H&S guidelines
  • Working with a dedicated team of Sciecne Teachers to plan lessons
  • Inspiring a love for Science, making lessons engaging and informative
  • Raising attainment and maintaining outstanding teaching practices
