Behaviour Mentor required to support a male Key Stage 4 student on a 1-2-1 basis. Are you a Behaviour Mentor or teaching assistant who enjoys helping students to overcome barriers to education? This brilliant alternative provision are looking to add a dynamic and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to the team. The school is looking for a Behaviour Mentor who has good behaviour management skills and a passion for helping students to get the most out of education. You will be providing 1-2-1 support in a classroom setting.
As a Behaviour Mentor you will be providing behavioural and academic support for this student, and ensuring they are getting enough support within the classroom. Alongside providing classroom support you will be providing 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on positive behaviours. Experience supporting SEMH needs or challenging behaviours is essential for this role.
- Providing classroom support for the teacher, including managing behaviours
- Working on a 1-2-1 basis to ensure the child gets the most out of lessons
- Breaking down academic and social barriers
- Working with a team of teaching Assistants to make sure school is a fun and safe place
- Working with the SENCO to implement an action plan for the child
