English Teacher – SEMH School
Are you a qualified English Teacher looking for a new challenge? Have you considered teaching small groups of children that face barriers to education? We are currently recruiting for a QTLS or QTS English Teacher to join an established Alternative Provision that supports children with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs. This school has fantastic facilities, and a supportive SLT who are determined to provide their students with a high standard of education.

As an English Teacher, you will be teaching small groups of children who have struggled to engage within a mainstream environment. You will be given the freedom to deliver creative and engaging lessons, aimed at inspiring a love for English. You will have support form an experienced pastoral team, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding lessons. This role is perfect for an English teacher who is passionate about their subject, and wants to help students to overcome academic and social barriers.
Job role:

  • Teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 English up to GCSE
  • Managing small classes of students with SEMH needs
  • Reduced planning and marking requirements due to smaller student numbers
  • Opportunities for progression and development
  • Involvement in whole school activities, trips and wellbeing days
  • Reduced hours on a Friday!
