Outreach Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced tutor or Teaching Assistant looking to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children that no longer attend mainstream school? We are looking for an outreach Tutor / Teaching Assistant to work with children who no longer attend school due to SEMH needs. You will be working on a 1-2-1 basis at the child’s home or a suitable location, delivering sessions primarily focused on Maths and English. The lessons will be prepared for you and tailored to support the needs of each individual child.

This role requires a patient and caring individual who is able to build rapport with children who have faced barriers to education. As a Tutor / Teaching Assistant you will be providing up to 20 hours of support a week. You must have your own transport for this role as you may be asked to travel to various sites across the week.
Job Role:

  • Delivering 1-2-1 tutoring sessions for students focused on core subjects
  • Breaking down barriers to education and inspiring students
  • Working with the teacher to ensure that lessons are suitable for the students that you support
  • Managing behaviours and building positive relationships with students
  • Delivering engaging, fun and practical lessons for students
