Do you enjoy breaking down barriers to education and making learning fun? Have you previously worked as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor? This large secondary school is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work with small groups of children with additional needs. You will primarily be providing support within there learning hub, supporting children that are reluctant to attend lessons. Experience supporting individuals with Autism is essential for this role.

The school has fantastic facilities, and an established SEND Team who are passionate about making a difference. As a Teaching Assistant you will also be required to provide some classroom support for the students with EHCPs.
Job Role:

  • Providing 1-2-1 and small group support within the SEND Hub
  • Helping students to engage with lessons and providing additional support where required
  • Working with the SENCO to ensure that EHCPs are being followed
  • Supporting the teachers to ensure that every child gets the most out of lessons
