Do you enjoy helping young people to overcome social barriers? Have you previously worked with challenging behaviours or Social Emotional Mental Health Needs? We are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to act as a positive role model for students who have been excluded from mainstream education. As a Behaviour Mentor you will be working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis, providing intervention sessions and supporting students throughout the day.
This busy SEMH school require a Behaviour Mentor who has previously worked with challenging behaviours, who is resilient and passionate about helping young people to overcome social and academic barriers. If you have previously worked with young people in a residential care or Alternative Provision setting, this role could be perfect for you.
- Providing 1-2-1 support and guidance for “at risk” students
- Running positive intervention sessions focused on behaviours
- Providing classroom support to help the young people remain engaged and on track
- Deescalating any potentially challenging or volatile situations
- Working with the behaviour team to facilitate change
