Learning Mentor required to work with small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 children who have struggled to engage with mainstream education. We are looking for a Learning Mentor or Behaviour Mentor who has experience helping children to overcome barriers to education, to help increase engagement, inspire students, and act as a positive role model. In this role you will be working closely with both teachers and students in order to make school a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for students.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mentor or even Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with “at risk” children. Experience working with challenging behaviours, SEMH or special educational needs is essential in order to be considered by the school.
- Providing 1-2-1 and small group intervention sessions
- Acting as a positive role model and mentor for students
- Working with teaching staff to make lessons more accessible for students
- Breaking down barriers to education and communication
- Providing tailored support to suit the needs of different students
