Are you a Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant or Learning mentor that has experience working within alternative provisions? Are you looking for a new challenged based within a school setting? This Alternative Provision are looking for a Youth Worker to provide support to Key Stage 4 students with challenging behaviour and who have faced obstacles to their education. You will be responsible for building positive rapport with students and encouraging them to engage with education by providing classroom based support. Ideally you ell be a Youth Worker or Teaching Assistant that has experience breaking down barriers to both communication and learning. Located in Wolverhampton this school is easily accessible form Wolverhampton, Walsall and surrounding areas.

Ideally you will be:

  • A TA or Learning Mentor used to working with children with challenging behaviour
  • An experienced classroom practitioner, with relevant experience
  • Able to provide education or social care based references
  • Motivated and dedicated to helping young people succeed
  • Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis
  • Able to motivate students to engage in lessons
  • Capable of managing classroom behaviour
