Teaching Assistant – Fulltime – Long-term – Special Educational Needs School
We are looking to recruit for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs for the remainder of the academic year. This role is suitable for a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant who has previous experience working with SEND and who enjoys breaking down barriers to education and making learning fun!
This lovely SEND School has fantastic facilities, a supportive pastoral team and brilliant systems is place. They are looking to add a Teaching Assistant to the team who is passionate about education and determined to make a difference. You will be working in small classed of children with Autism or Complex Needs, and be responsible for working on a 1-2-1 basis with the child that you support. This is a long-term opportunity for the remainder of the academic year.
- Supporting children with Special Educational Needs on a 1-2-1 or small group basis
- Making learning fun and engaging for children
- Working with the class teacher to ensure that every child’s needs are met
- Supporting on school trips and in extracurricular activities
- Bringing a smile every day
- Have experience working with Special Educational Needs
- Be committed and dedicated to making a difference
- Have an abundance of patience and empathy
- Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Be able to work on a fulltime basis 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday
