Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity to support with a Special Educational Needs School? You will be supporting a Key Stage 4 student with complex needs on a 1-2-1 basis. The student can display challenging behaviours and it is important that you have a calm and empathetic approach.
This is a vibrant, kind and caring school is located south of the city centre and require a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with additional needs. As a TA you will be joining a brilliant team of teaching and support staff who are dedicated to making a difference. This is a fulltime position working 08:30 – 3:30 daily.
Ideally you will:
- Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Have previous experience working with complex needs and autism
- Be able to effectively manage challenging behaviours
- Build rapport with students who face barriers to communication
- Have an understanding that every child’s needs are different and required a tailored approach
- Be able to work closely with the SENCO and pastoral team to ensure that every child receives outstanding support
