This busy Special Educational Needs School is looking to add an experienced Teaching Assistant to the team to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with children who have complex needs. Experience working with autism and complex needs is essential as you will be working with a small team of dedicated Teaching Assistants who have very high standards. This school is well known for its fantastic track record and outstanding support that it provides to the pupils who attend.

This role is a long-term opportunity to work at an Outstanding Special Educational Needs school with a fantastic leadership team and a passion for making a difference. A calm, empathetic and patient approach is essential as you will be working with complex needs. Experience working with challenging behaviour is desirable. Job role:

  • Supporting children with Autism and Complex needs on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
  • Taking part in whole school enrichment activities

  • Provide positive intervention and de-escalation
  • Supporting the Teacher during lessons and working with small groups
