Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a long term role in an SEND setting? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2-1 basis with a Key Stage 2 student with additional needs. Experience working with special educational needs is essential, and experience working with Autism is preferred. This school are looking for a compassionate, proactive and resilient Teaching Assistant who enjoys breaking down barriers to education.

This role requires an experienced Teaching Assistant or LSA and the school are looking for an immediate start. For more information please contact The Education Network Birmingham.
Job Role:

  • Working on a 1-2-1 or small group basis
  • Help students to engage with lessons
  • Providing support to teaching staff when needed
  • Building rapport and trust with students
  • Leading on fun classroom activities

Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant
  • Have worked with challenging behaviour and Special Needs
  • Be able to break down barriers to communication
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Be able to challenge students when required
