As a Teaching Assistant you are responsible for supporting children with additional needs, and we are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about this to join an established team. The Education Network are working closely with a fantastic SEN school to find a caring and compassionate teaching assistant to join their team and support children with a range of additional needs, ranging from Autism to SLD and complex needs. Role:

  • Working 1-2-1 with students
  • Help students to engage with lessons
  • Providing support to teaching staff when needed
  • Building rapport and trust with students
  • Leading on fun classroom activities
 
Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
  • Have worked with challenging behaviour and Special Needs
  • Be able to break down barriers to communication
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Be able to challenge students when required
