Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? We are looking for people to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children who are no longer in mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 3 child throughout the academic year.
This school is looking to add an LSA to the team who has previously worked with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or EBD, to provide 1-2-1 support with a student who has recently joined them. You will be providing 1-2-1 support in small classes of children who have been excluded from mainstream education. The teaching and pastoral team are fantastic, and the school is looking for an LSA who is able to maintain the already high standards of support provided. This is a long-term opportunity to provide support to a child throughout their academic journey.
- Working 1-2-1 with students
- Making learning fun and engaging for pupils
- Providing support to teaching staff when needed
- Building rapport and trust with students
- Leading on fun classroom activities
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
- Have worked with challenging behaviour and Special Needs
- Be able to break down barriers to communication
- Have a calm, patient and positive approach
- Be able to challenge students when required
