SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) required for a large, modern Secondary School located in East Birmingham. We are looking for an experienced SENCo to join this dynamic school, and join an excellent Senior Leadership Team. This school is looking for a SENCo who has a student centred approach and who is able to work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure that the needs of every child are met.
This fantastic opportunity is suitable for a SENCo who has experience working in either primary or secondary settings. The school have an abundance of resources available to help you support students appropriately, and the SLT are focused on providing every child with an outstanding level of support. Ideally you will be:
- Qualified SENCO
- QTS or QTLS
- Primary or SEND experienced
- Able to demonstrate a track record of dealing with third party agencies
-Happy to work as part of the leadership team at school level
- Capable of creating Safeguarding strategies and processes that will be applied across whole of School Used to adopting a truly "Consultative" approach
- Instrumental in resolving issues for children and staff as an ongoing part of your remit
- Able to communicate with both the Children, staff and relevant external parties
- Used to handling some aspects of challenge
- Able to inspire confidence in the children you support
