The Education Network are excited to be recruiting for a Pastoral role for a school in East Birmingham. The school are looking for a compassionate and professional individual to provide support for students in Year 9. Experience of working in a school environment is essential.

Responsibilities include raising standards of attendance and punctuality, building relationships with students and parents, the running of whole school detentions, and promoting the welfare of students. The successful applicant will be able to provide pastoral support as necessary in order to remove barriers to achieving excellent outcomes.

We are looking for:

  • Experience of managing behaviour of challenging students
  • Experience of managing and improving attendance
  • Use of SIMS (preferable)

The school are ideally looking for someone who is able to start immediately. The role is 37 hours per week, with working hours of 08:00-16:00 with an early finish on one day.
