Job Details

Food Technician for a secondary school in Sheffield. The Education Network are currently recruiting for a Food Technician to work in a secondary schools in Sheffield, on a long term contract starting in September. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a school Food Technician. The role is 26 hours per week over 4 days, although this may change when the timetable is set.

Some of the duties that will be required are as follows:

  • Supporting the Food Technology department ensuring safe use of equipment.
  • Prepping classes to ensure the correct items and resources are in place.
  • Completing regular stock checks in relation to equipment, ensuring no missing items after use.
  • Preparing and clearing away equipment and ingredients and materials.
  • Assisting the Food Technology Teacher and students during practical lessons.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Previous experience working as a Food Technician.
  • General awareness of working in a kitchen.
  • Suitable skills and experience include Food Technician, Chef, Catering, Kitchen Technician, Cooking, Cook
