We are currently looking to fill a long term teaching assistant role working within one of our wonderful partnership primary schools in Gateshead. The role would be supporting within early years and would be running from after the summer break until the Easter holidays to cover a maternity absence.
The school are looking for someone who is warm, approachable and can work under their own initiative to help create a welcoming environment for young minds to flourish.
To be considered for this role we ask that the following criteria be met in full:
-Qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Supporting education and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
-Have zero criminal convictions and if not in possession already be willing to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) Certificate.
- Have enthusiasm for learning and supporting teachers and pupils in school
- You must have recent experience of working in a classroom environment (voluntary is acceptable)
-Be able to provide references to cover you for your last 2 years of employment (at least one being relevant to childcare/education)
