The Education Network is currently recruiting for an inspiring
Science Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive
Medical Needs/SEN School. This is a rare opportunity to teach in a specialist setting that prioritises mental health, emotional well-being, and individualised learning.
🧬 The Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable)
- Plan and adapt schemes of work for pupils with a range of medical, emotional, and SEN needs (e.g. ASD, anxiety, ADHD, chronic illness)
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, SENCOs, and support staff
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and trauma-informed classroom environment
- Track progress through individual learning plans and EHCP targets
🧠 About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – Science specialism essential
- Experience teaching in an SEN, PRU, or medical needs setting is highly desirable
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Able to build trusting relationships with vulnerable learners
- Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches (a plus!)
