Salary: £90 - £95 per day
The Education Network are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEND school in Bingley. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant you will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, helping pupils access learning, develop life skills, and thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
- Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and therapeutic interventions
What We’re Looking For- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly complex needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential
