Our client, based in Doncaster are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a long term basis for an immediate start. This opportunity will run for a minimum of one term and for the right person.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor. Alternatively it would be suitable for someone who is keen to gain further experience prior to a teaching qualification or similar. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a subject area in which they can specialise in, however this role is to cover across the full range of subject areas. You will be working under the guidance of teaching staff and the Cover Manager, to support pupils in and out of the classroom. Duties include the supervision classes during the short term absence of teachers, ensuring pupils are completing the work set to a level expected by the School and liaising effectively between students and teachers.
The successful applicants will:
- Be qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Have experience working as a cover supervisor in Secondary Schools.
- Be available 5 days a week on a long term basis.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Have the autonomy and confidence to take a class.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
