We are hopeful to recruit a motivated and resilient Science Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 & 4 students who are no longer in mainstream education. With classes of no more than 6 students and an excellent team around you, you will have the opportunity to focus on supporting each students individual needs. The school also provides outstanding support from Teaching Assistants who are based in every classroom.
You will need to be comfortable working with challenging behaviour, and have both good subject knowledge and a good sense of humour. Smaller classes means less planning and marking and a better work life balance. The school are looking for a Science Teacher who is passionate about their subject and determined to make a difference.
- Teaching Science to Key Stages 3 & 4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Inspiring students to achieve more than they thought they could
- Working closely with SLT to implement behaviour strategies
- Taking part in whole school activities and trips
Ideally you will:
- Hold QTS, QTLS or NQT Status
- Be passionate about your subject!
- Understand how to teach smaller groups
- Have experience working with students who have faced barriers to education
