Are you a Learning mentor who has experience working with young people who have faced barriers to learning? Are you able to manage behaviour and build rapport quickly with young people? We are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor to support Key Stage 3 & 4 students who are no longer in mainstream education.

This role is ideal for a Learning Mentor who enjoys being part of a team, and helping young people to achieve their goals. You will be working with small groups in the classroom, taking young people offsite for activities, and be involved in all aspects of school life. Resilience and a good sense of humour is essential for this role.

Job role:

  • Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who are no longer in mainstream education
  • Encourage participation in lessons and other activities
  • Act as a positive role model
  • Break down barriers to education
  • Working off site with students
  • Providing both academic and pastoral support for students
