Behaviour Mentor required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with students who are no longer in mainstream education. We are looking for Behaviour Mentor who has experience working with challenging behaviour and Emotional Behavioural Disorders, who is looking for a dynamic and exciting challenge. You will be joining a team who are passionate about making a difference and supporting students who have faced barriers to education.

This school has a dynamic leadership team who are focused on providing a high standard of social and academic support for all. As a Behaviour Mentor you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students. Being a positive role model is essential for this role.

Role:

  • Working with small groups of students
  • Making learning fun for disengaged students
  • Providing support to teaching staff when needed
  • Building rapport and trust with students
  • Leading on fun classroom activities


Ideally, you will:

  • Have experience working as a Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant
  • Have worked with challenging behaviour
  • Be able to break down barriers to communication
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Be able to challenge students when required
