Job Details

Qualified Science Techer required for a vibrant secondary school located in Central Birmingham. This busy school is looking to add a QTS Sciecne Teacher to the team, initially on a temporary basis, with the view to convert to a permanent position for a successful candidate. As a Science Teacher you will be teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3 & 4. The school boasts excellent facilities and has a track record of success within the Science Department.

This is a great opportunity for a Science Teacher who is looking for progression and development opportunities, as the school has a fantastic personal development programme. A keen subject knowledge and good classroom management skills are essential for this role as you will be working with learners of all abilities.
Job role:

  • Teaching Sciecne up to Key Stage 4
  • Coordinating with the HOD to ensure the curriculum is covered
  • Working with a dynamic and proactive Science Department
  • Providing small group intervention sessions for students that need additional support
  • Stretching academically gifted students
  • Planning and delivering practical sessions
