RE teacher required for a September start at a fantastic Alternative Provision with an established team, excellent facilities and a track record of enabling students to reengage with education. We are looking for an outstanding Religious Education Teacher to teach small classes of Key Stage 3 & 4 students with a range of social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). As a RE Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are designed to engage students who have faced barriers to education.
This fantastic school allows you freedom to be creative with your lessons and think outside of the box in order to deliver lessons that challenge and engage students. With a low staff turnover, excellent leadership and a great department, you will be able to hit the ground running. This role requires a QTS or QTLS Religious Education Teacher, ideally with experience working within an alternative Provision setting. Good subject knowledge and excellent classroom management is essential for this role.
Job role:

  • Teaching RE to classes of no more than 10 students
  • Managing classroom behaviours with the support of an experienced pastoral team
  • Helping students to overcome barriers to education
  • Working with the leadership team and SENCO to ensure that every child is given appropriate support
  • Delivering engaging and informative lessons aimed at inspiring students
