Learning Support Assistant – Alternative Provision
Are you a Learning Support Assistant looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working with children who have struggled to engage with education? We are looking for Learning Support Assistant to support students who no longer attend mainstream education. Ideally you will have experience working within an Alternative Provision setting, and possess good classroom management skills.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be providing classroom based support to small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 students with additional needs, including EBD, SEMH and Autism. The school have excellent facilities and there is an experienced team in place to provide you with additional support. A calm and empathetic approach is required for this role.
- Supporting students with additional needs
- Working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
- Inspiring confidence in students and helping them to break down barriers to education
- Working with the pastoral team to improve attendance and engagement
- Taking part in whole school activities, including school trips etc…
