Teaching Assistant SEND – Complex Needs. We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with complex needs. Are you a Teaching Assistant who has worked with ASD, PMLD, MLD and SLD looking for a new challenge? We are looking for someone to support a small class in a vibrant SEND school. You will be working with a class of no more than 8 children with in Key Stage 2 & 3 with a range of additional needs.
The School provides a fantastic setting for children to learn and grow. Teaching and support staff are focused on ensuring that every child has access to a high standard of education. Requirements of the Teaching Assistant
- Support children with a range of Special Educational Needs
- Record and report student progress to the teacher an parents
- Establish and maintain relationships with the children and other staff
- Be reliable, passionate and personable
- You will hold a level 3 qualification or a degree
- Have good behaviour management strategies
- Can follow and respect the school behaviour policy
- A Child Workforce DBS and on the update service/ or be happy to apply for a DBS
- Team Teach would be advantageous
- Have worked with the following
- Dyslexia and Dyspraxia
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
